Hyspan/Barco
specializes in ball joints and expansion
joints. They are members of (EJMA)
Expansion Joint Manufacturers
Association and their products comply
with the engineering methods and quality
standards conforming to established
standards. The Barco ball joints are of
a proprietary design offering features
including the ability to disassemble for
maintenance, seal replacement, or
adjustment of seal pressure. A broad
range of sealing materials are available
such as TFE, glass filled TFE, phenolic
and a variety of alloy steel materials.
ASME Class 2500 through 8” NPS and Class
900 through 12” NPS are all fire tested
to API 6FA. These products are well
suited for steam and hot water service
and when used in multiple sets are able
to absorb thermal expansion or
contraction by the Off Set method of
lateral displacement.
The
Expansion Joints are offered in a
variety of designs and include Inline
Seismic, Laminated, Pressurized and
Packed Slip units. These products
provide axial and lateral movement and
are designed as direct connections in
vertical or horizontal pipe runs. They
are commonly used in Steam, Hot Water
heating systems but special units are
offered for corrosive environments such
as oil shale and tar sands. These
quality products have been supplied to
power plants and refineries. Hyspan
offers the experience and knowledge of
piping systems to select and supply the
correct product for the application and
service conditions. |
